ImmoCem® is the brand name of an extraordinary product based on natural and synthetic zeolites and is specifically designed for use in pollutant immobilisation and the remediation of polluted sites. ImmoCem's ability to act as an absorber, a flocculent, a catalyst, molecular sieve, neutralizer and an ion exchanger make it very versatile in application. It can be used in support of existing pollution control technologies or it can form the basis for a new approach to pollutant immobilization and control. ImmoCem® can be used to turn contaminated soils and sludges into environmentally harmless but useful construction materials. ImmoCem is suitable for the effective immobilisation of organic and inorganic chemical pollutions as well as being highly effective for the immobilisation of heavy metal contaminants.
ImmoCem works so effectively because of the formation of robust, nano-scale crystalline structures (lattice structures) within the bound materials containing the chemical pollution. The resultant cured product is a durable, dimensionally stable matrix where no leaching into the environment can take place. When ImmoCem is used in combination with a cement binder practically any material can be bonded in such a way that a new composite material is formed with high quality construction elements; road base, piling mats, crane platforms and foundations. This new composite material can be manufactured from soil with a high organic substance level or sludges. ImmoCem is an environmentally friendly product as established by bodies including Dutch accredited and certified laboratories following a 100-year leachate simulation in a semi-dynamic tank testing facility. ImmoCem is the ideal product for your many diverse environmental protection projects.
